What is training?
According to the Oxford dictionary it is : “The process of improving workforce skills. This may be done by formal instructional courses, provided by employers or by educational institutions, either before or during employment.”
Wikipedia says: “Training is teaching, or developing in oneself or others, any skills and knowledge or fitness that relates to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one’s capability, capacity, productivity and performance.”
Employers rely on employees to carry out their daily duties and to follow procedures and guidelines. Without the necessary skills and knowledge, the employer’s objections may not be reached.
There is a duty on both employers and staff to ensure that business runs smoothy.
